Title lien issues.

So went to sell my classic car.
Owned it 12 years. Loan paid off 11 years ago.
Electronic title.

Visited the local tax office to obtain a paper title.
They could not issue me a title as the original CU loan was still on the title.

Pissed I visited the CU involved and they figured that they had not released the lien when the loan was paid off.

Assured me it would be done.
It’s been a week now and it’s still had a lien on it and I can’t sell my car.

Where do I push here? DMV , CU ?

I assume I should have checked a decade ago. But never became an issue due to the electronic title.

I’m frustrated by this process. I’m sure the CU can log into the DMV and release the lien there and then.
