Accounting uni/ work?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about studying accounting and was just wondering what it's like studying at uni, as no one in my family or friend group has been to university, so I don't really know what to expect.

I was also wondering if any accountants here could share what it's like working in their trade. As well as what are the biggest pros and cons of the job, and is there anything you wish you knew before you started?

Any advice would be really appreciated.
