My daith is almost 2 years old. I tried changing the jewelry by myself since I don’t feel any pain in it whenever I touch and move the piercing around. However, it got tight pretty quickly, and I was only able to push the ring halfway. I had a glass horseshoe in it before I changed it because my school doesn’t allow piercings. I went to a different piercer to help me the next day since I was afraid it would close up. I availed her promo, which is 3 piercings for a cheaper price, since she mentioned that she would charge my daith for a full price even though it will just be reopened. She forced my daith using this stainless steel horseshoe, which felt so painful because of its blunt end. She also broke my glass horseshoe while trying to clamp it with forceps. I was upset about her breaking it, but she didn’t offer to pay for it nor said sorry.

The conch with my daith is low on purpose because I’m planning to get a double conch. I told her I want my (new) conch to be at the center (the purple dot), since I want it to have its solo moment. She marked it with a Sharpie but didn’t ask me to check the placement. The place was kinda dark, no overhead lights nor windows. The only light was coming from the door she left open. I also didn’t have a handheld mirror to check the mark. She just went in and pierced it without any confirmation from me. After leaving the shop, I saw that it wasn’t at the center as I’ve requested. I’m upset about it since I paid for it and had to go through the pain, only for it to be in the wrong position. It’s been 3 days since I had it pierced. I’m contemplating if I should just remove it, let it heal, then have my original piercer repierce it where I want. Or is there any other way to save it?

Now that I’ve had so much concern about her, I’m even questioning the rook she pierced if it’s correct or not. Is it way too high? She didn’t mark nor ask me before piecing it either.

She also told me to buy mupirocin to put on my piercings 3x a day for 2 weeks. I did my research, and it’s not advisable since it would keep moisture on the piercings, which further adds to my suspicion about her level of knowledge.

conch and rook, pierced incorrectly?
