Is it too late to play KCD1 now that I've already started playing [KCD2] for 90+ hours?

My friend recommended me to play KCD 2 and told me that I don't need to worry about getting confused because KCD2 is a like a story of its own.

I trusted her and dived in to KCD2 without playing the first one and indeed like she said, I didn't get confused nor question anything in the story and actually, I'm loving it

Although I feel like theres a gap I wanna fill (because the story started where we are delivering a message) and thus I'm thinking of playing KCD1 to learn more deeper to the building of such a point in scenario of us handling letter.

But I was told, KCD1is very clunky and not as polished as KCD2.

Please let me know if its really 100% worth it going and finish KCD2, then jump to KCD1
