How do you know if a SaaS idea is actually worth building?

One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is that building the product is often the easy part. Finding a problem that people will actually pay to solve is much harder.

I’m curious how experienced founders approach this.

How do you validate an idea before writing code?

Where do you consistently discover real business pain points?

How do you separate a “nice-to-have” from a “must-have” problem?

Are there frameworks, communities, or methods you’ve found particularly effective?

I’d love to hear your experiences—whether you’ve built a successful SaaS or learned from one that didn’t work.

What advice would you give someone trying to find the next problem worth solving?
