New to camming: worried about being found out & agencies?
Hi everyone,
I’m completely new to camming and I’m seriously thinking about giving it a go because I really need the money. I’m broke at the moment and I’ve done dancing before, so working in adult entertainment isn’t completely new to me, but camming is.
I’ve been speaking to an agency that’s said they’ll train me, help me get started and support me while I learn. For anyone who’s worked with an agency before, what was your experience like? Did it actually help as a beginner or do you wish you’d started independently?
One thing that’s making me hesitate is the fear of being found out. Has anyone actually had friends, family or people from work/uni find them? How common is it really? Are there things you can do to reduce the chances? No one I know can know I do this as I come from a strict religious background and I’m doing this to help fund my business and live on my own.
Also, I’m Black, and I was wondering if that changes anything in terms of the industry, whether that’s opportunities, audience, earnings or anything else. I’d love to hear from other Black models about their experiences if you’re comfortable sharing.
I’m just trying to make an informed decision before I commit, so I’d really appreciate any honest advice, good or bad. Thanks!
