Bar Reception?

We just got engaged, and we would like to have the wedding ASAP. Guest list of about 60.

We are planning a courthouse wedding with a bar party reception.

Has anyone done something similar? What were some hurdles you had to overcome in doing so? If you couldn't tell, we are trying to save money and throw a fun party with less emphasis on tradition and more on community.
