Marianela Nunez retirement
Do you think Marianela Núñez will retire in the next few years? I’m desperate to see her perform before she does.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently. Marianela Núñez is 44 now, which is incredible considering the level she’s still dancing at. Every recent performance and interview makes it seem like she’s still completely in love with ballet and isn’t slowing down much.
I know no one here has a crystal ball, but I’m trying to figure out how urgently I need to plan a trip to London. Seeing her perform live has been on my bucket list for years, and I’d honestly be heartbroken if I missed the chance.
I also noticed that Marianela – Timeless isn’t being presented as a retirement gala. Apparently she even said it’s “just the opposite,” which is reassuring.
For those who’ve followed The Royal Ballet for years:
Do you think she could realistically keep dancing until 46–48?
Does she seem like someone who will announce a farewell season well in advance, or could it happen quite suddenly?
If you had to guess, what would your retirement timeline prediction be?
I’m hoping I still have a couple of seasons to make it happen, but I’d love to hear what longtime ballet fans think.
