Recommendations for stories with a Hopeful theme

In the the first half of the year I read a few grim dark stories like the second apocalypse, *the black company books* , etc .

I want to read more books with a hopeful theme for the second half the year. Stuff that can be described as light at the end of a dark tunnel like LOTR , wheel of time to some extent.

Story elements like a chosen one trope , straight rommance subplot , a rule based magic system (not Sanderson level hard magic), military or political setting or sub setting, main character with more brains then browns would be appreciated

An expansive world with deep world building and a male main character would be a plus
