Nico paz - why is he not playing at all in the knock out stage?

I mean, really, the player had an amazing year in Serie A (12 goals, 6 assists) taking Como to CL. He got some minutes against Jordan but in KO nothing. Why Scaloni prefers limited midfielders like Nico Gonzales or Paredes (not to mention De Paul, which every minute that he plays is a crime against football)? I ask honestly as a big fan of argentina and as one suffers every game in their tournament (depsite winning...).

I don't expect him to start but at least get some minutes as a sub in games where Argentina need a turning point in the game with Egypt or could take advantage of the red card the Swiss got
