[M4F] A Scholar's Slut
The majordomo was allowed into the slut’s quarters, of course, but still he knocked before entering out of professional courtesy. He stepped quietly into the room and gestured for the slutkeeper. “I need one for upstairs,” he said. “Needn’t be too special.”
The sluts around the room grew quiet, sharing nervous looks. A trip upstairs could mean light duty and unusual luxury, but it could also mean squalid mistreatment. Nothing put boundaries on the uppers other than their own sense of dignity and generosity. Some uppers had plenty of both; some had none of either.
The sluts were curious and apprehensive, but the slutkeeper was puzzled. "Upstairs," and "Not too special," were an unusual combination. As a rule, the higher the rooms, the greater the status of the occupant. An upstairs resident would normally be someone important – entitled to the best. But it wasn’t the job of the slutkeeper to be curious. It was her job to, well, keep sluts. She looked about the room. “You,” she said. “Ayliss.”
The woman she pointed to started at the sound of her name; Ayliss was not expecting to be called, though she had to admit that "Not too special," described her well. She was new here and untrained -- neither a kitchen drab nor a bedwarmer yet. True, she was naturally graceful, but almost every slut was. She was twenty three years old, but that didn't make her at all special. Literally every single slut on the grounds was over the age of twenty one, without exception. Neither the majordomo nor the slutkeeper ever got that wrong. Ever.
Ayliss inspected herself in the mirror. She was already presentable, of course, but she spent an extra minute in touching up anyway, since it was her duty care for her appearance. It made her nervous to keep the majordomo waiting, so she rushed the care and then scurried to follow him up and out. Neither of them spoke a word.
He led her up two flights. Three. Five. She had been upstairs before, but never this far. Ayliss was baffled. No one lived at this altitude except the full aristocracy, but the aristocracy would have demanded a special slut indeed.
They left the staircase only one landing below the topmost level. They then walked the full length of one hall, through a sparsely furnished chamber and then a short and narrow exit hallway. From there, a right angle took them to another hall and finally to a door, plain and blunt. The majordomo knocked once and waited. He knocked again. Again -- but without raising volume. He was being polite. After the fourth try a voice from inside, muffled and irritated, bade him enter.
Ayliss’ eyes widened as she looked past the majordomo and into the room. Two of the three walls were lined with books. Another was covered with maps and tapestries and odd diagrams, some on paper but some drawn directly onto the stone. Several tables, sturdy and ugly, held a variety apparatus: flasks and retorts small jars of small bones and mortars and scales and lenses and all manner of un-named bric-a-brac. There was only one chair in the room. Sprawled across it was a man in his forties, handsome enough in a vague way and dressed in well-made but not at all fashionable clothes. His fingers were stained, and his brow was furrowed. An open book lay across his lap.
“A slut?” he asked, mildly enough. “I don’t recall ordering a slut.”
So I don't really know where to go with this, and none of the above is set in stone. That's why I'm looking for a partner. I'm actually looking forward to the world-building here, but the hope is that we'll find plenty of time for tab-A-into-slot-B smuttiness as well.
I can say that in general, I like playing with themes of power and control but in the context of an affectionate relationship. My character will be casually misogynistic, but only because he comes from a misogynistic society. He's not cruel -- he's a nice enough guy who maybe just doesn't really see his own privilege.
I'm comfortable with a wide range of kinks. I feel like this particular scene should be reasonably sane, though I don't mind hinting at much darker themes in the worldbuilding.
My limits are poo or anything in that neighborhood like a2m or scents. I also tend to avoid surrealism and multiple character scenes just because I'm not good at them.
