40+ man dating with braces

I feel that women probably would not date a guy with braces. Am I being too self-conscious or am I right to think that?

I'm a 40+ man currently with braces. I have done a lot of things in the last year to increase my attractiveness and getting my teeth straightened was one of them.

I was planning to start dating after being separated for a year, but still probably have a year left with braces. Unsure if it's worth trying.
