One of my favorite episodes is SEVERELY underrated

I'm talking about Why We Fight (S5 E13).

I absolutely loved the lore and history connection made in this episode. I felt so bad for the vampire and making him sympathetic despite lacking a soul was such an interesting change. I liked how they brought back Spike and, though it wasn't really consistent with the time it takes to sire a vampire, I thought Lawson's whole storyline was really well-written and emotional. It was very sad that Angel had to kill Lawson in the end.

The episode was not very well received by fans. One of the biggest complaints I've heard was that it takes place directly after Cordelia's death, but for me, all that does is make the episode more emotional.
