Why and how Muhammad emerged as a claimed prophet?

i think this is one of the biggest questions i have since finding this field of study:
Why and how Muhammad emerged as a claimed prophet in an area like Hijaz, and had rich biblical knowledge with some theological differences and new teachings with a unique poetry preaching style that he truly believe that's divine revelations and according to many scholars he truly lived those psychological experiences. i couldn't find any scholar discussing this or trying to answer this question even though i think a good answer based on evidence will advance the field a lot similar to biblical studies.
any scholars, resources regarding this please?
