Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on, which has become quite a complex challenge in the realm of regulatory compliance.

**The Problem:** In highly regulated industries like food production or pharmaceuticals, pest management isn't just about catching pests—it’s about audit-proof documentation. Currently, most of the industry still relies on Excel spreadsheets and paper reports. This creates systemic risks: data isn't version-controlled, there’s no real-time audit trail, and manual data entry leads to non-conformities during audits (IFS, BRCGS, HACCP).

**The Solution: PestDeskPro** We developed p[estdeskpro.de](https://pestdeskpro.de/) as a SaaS-based Compliance Engine that bridges the gap between field operations and regulatory requirements. We aren’t just logging data; we are building an "Audit-Shadow" that runs in real-time.

**Technical highlights (built on Base44):**

* **Compliance-Engine:** Every protocol is checked against a rule-set (CompliancePacks) in real-time. If a technician uses a product that isn't authorized for a specific site or fails to meet documentation requirements, the system prevents the protocol from closing.
* **External Data Sync:** We automatically sync usage records against official regulatory databases (like BAuA/ECHA) to ensure that no expired or non-compliant biocides are used.
* **Offline-First & QR integration:** Technicians work on-site, scanning QR codes on bait stations to trigger the exact inspection workflow needed for that specific location, with everything syncing back once online.

**Why I’m sharing this:** Building a tool that needs to be "Audit-Ready" 24/7 is tough. We’ve managed to replace the typical "spreadsheet chaos" with a system that actually thinks along with the technician.

I’m curious—for those of you building compliance or data-heavy apps: **How do you handle complex data validation where external, unreliable third-party data sources need to be integrated into a strict write-process?**

If you're interested in the details or want to see how we’ve structured our compliance workflow, check out our site: [**https://pestdesk**p**ro.de**](https://pestdeskpro.de/)

Looking forward to your thoughts!
