Avoid Jungle Book Resort, Kulem – misleading booking terms and poor customer handling

Booked a stay at Jungle Book Resort in Kulem (near Dudhsagar trek) expecting a straightforward 24-hour checkout as promised during booking. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be frustrating and misleading.

After arrival, the property suddenly changed terms and asked us to check out at 10 AM instead of honoring the 24-hour stay. Their “solution” was to dump our bags at reception, which completely defeats the purpose of booking a proper stay—especially when you’re coming back tired from a trek like Dudhsagar.

When planning a trip to Dudhsagar and considering staying here, I’d strongly recommend confirming everything in writing or just choosing a more reliable place. The location is great, but the management practices really take away from the experience.
