my teeth have shifted but my ortho said i don’t need braces..

my teeth have clearly shifted, not majorly (pre- braces) but to the point where my retainers just don’t fit anymore. i made sure with him that if i needed braces and he kept saying no you don’t need braces. he’s a very experienced ortho so he he’s been dealing with braces for a very long time so i don’t get why he would say i don’t need braces when i literally do.
i showed him a picture of my teeth after braces and now (after they’ve shifted) and he said no they look the same you don’t need braces but there was a huge change in both the pictures.

I’m positive i need braces and now i just feel like then ortho is trying to just deny my case and move on for some reason.

what should i do?? do i go to a new ortho?
