Sort of Follow Up to gay brother’s wedding + Family

A few months ago, I (M 36) wrote about how my mother stated she wouldn’t attend my gay brother’s (M 34) wedding. After a bit hoopla, and her getting called out by everyone in the family, she apologized and realized how stupid she was being.

Flash forward to today, 50 days till my brother’s wedding, my extremely pious sister (F 38) calls him and tells him she’s not going to a gay wedding.

I’m so tired of having to protect my brother from my own fucking family. I’m so tired of being angry; and the shitty part is, I can’t even express it, or it’ll feed into their martyrdom.

My brother and I have decided to basically ghost her. Maybe her isolation will do something. Idk. But man, isn’t it indicative of a cult? Isolate the person from their family? Idk… I’m rambling and I’m pissed. Looks like I’ll be the only one giving a speech at his wedding, and I couldn’t be more stoked. I’m so proud of my brother, and so wildly disappointed in my sister. It’s exhausting.
