Brand new phone motherboard died in 15 days. Service center holding it for 13 days and refusing replacement. What are my options?

Hey guys, looking for some advice or to hear from anyone who has dealt with Xiaomi/POCO consumer issues in India. I am incredibly frustrated right now and want to know if I'm being unreasonable or if the service center is actively trying to scam me.

The Timeline:

June 12: Bought a brand new POCO phone via Flipkart.

June 14: Delivered.

Late June: Just 15 days into using it, the phone completely dies (catastrophic hardware failure).

July 1: Handed it over to the authorized Xiaomi service center (Job Sheet: WXIN2607010000324).

The Service Center Drama:

When I gave it to them, they downplayed it and told me it was just a "minor flex cable issue." I kept calling them every 2 days to get an update because they kept pushing the timeline. After 3 days of constant follow-ups, they finally admitted the truth: the motherboard is completely dead.

It has now been sitting in the service center for 13 consecutive days. I called them again today, and they casually told me it will take at least 4 more days to repair it.

The Issue:

I told them I do not want a heavily repaired/refurbished unit for a phone that is literally 15 days old. A dead motherboard in 2 weeks is a blatant manufacturing defect. I demanded a brand-new box replacement (DOA swap).

They completely refused, saying their internal replacement policy is strictly 10 days, and because I am at day 15, I am only eligible for a repair.

My questions:

1.) Can i get a replacement for my device after that 10 days period?

2.) What can i do now after waiting for 13 days and they are still saying it will take 3 to 4 days?
