Got cussed

I am not from manipur, i study mbbs here in imphal, i just went out for stroll a local guy was drunk most probably poor, not a well to do person by appearance i guess, he cussed me, saying mc, bc, etc, the people beside him stopped him immediately and said not to mind him, i could have cussed back, my uncle is an ips in manipur, there are some manipuri shop owners who would have beat the shit of him. But i didn't escalate it and left quietly. Just wanted to vent.
