5.5 cm Aortic Root aneurysm/dilation

Male (46) history of bicuspid valve which has been replaced twice and 5 years of hypertension stage 2 (this has been corrected now after kidney surgery). He has ascending aortic root measuring 5.5 cm and the ascending aorta 4.7cm. He is 6' 4" will be getting tested for genetic tissue diseases later this month.

Anyone experience size this big and doctor not recommend surgery? Wait and see? Originally doctor said if it hots 5.5 they will do surgery but now saying that rather wait to see if it grows.
