What do seasonal Alaska pilots do for work during the “off season”?

Currently flying Part 135 floatplanes in Alaska, and I absolutely love this kind of flying. The downside is the season only runs from late May through early October.

I’m debating whether to stay in Alaska and find a winter flying job (Yute, Fox, etc.), but I’m not set on that. Are there any flying gigs in the Lower 48 that come close to the work and lifestyle up here? I’m floatplane, tailwheel, backcountry, mountain flying, scenic/lodge ops, or anything similar.

For those of you who fly seasonally, what do you do during the off-season? Any companies or types of operations you’d recommend looking into?
