New to the game but not genre, could use a few pointers.

Just bought this a few days ago and have been having a blast so far. The whole having modern guns in the game threw me off a bit but I love monster catching games and this one seems to cover a lot of bases in what I enjoy.

A few questions:

How quickly should I be trying to complete all the towers? I did my first one at level 15 and have been just exploring doing dungeons since. I am maybe level 20 now and really haven’t ventured too far past the starting areas.

I really don’t enjoy building bases all that much, am I ok to just build the basics and craft what I need and leave the rest or am I missing out on a lot of stuff not spending more time on it?

Any early game tips/tricks for a total new player to the game? I am sure others are on the same boat as me, familiar with the genre but never played the game.
