Need advice about workplace crush

Hello, I am 28M and need advice real bad. Some info about the situation:

I am very introverted and have never asked anyone out. I struggle with small talk until I am comfortable with someone as well.

There is this girl in my office that I really like, I think she is 25 yo. We did not really talk that much, only good mornings etc.

We are not in same department and our departments do not work together but we've been on the same floor for the past year and we run into each other often naturally. Mostly in elevators, kitchen or the hallways.

The thing is as I said I am introverted and feel like it would be awkward to introduce myself now(Feels like why now? you know)

Would it be too weird to ask directly eg. "This will be very direct but would you like to grab a coffee some time?"

I can also add on social and ask there but I feel like that would be even worse.
