CRV gen 2 or gen 3

Hi everyone as the title suggests I'm trying to figure out which of these to buy, I've done quite a bit of research but after real world experience from people who've driven both.

I know the 2nd Gen is held in higher regard than the 3rd for varying reasons,I personally prefer the looks of the 2nd Gen better myself.

From my understanding the 2nd gen is possibly slightly more practical with the Boxier shape and boot opening. Reliability wise they are both equal I think.

I do a lot of highway driving so which is the more comfortable car in terms of seat comfort and then road noise and wind?

The 3rd gen also has a telescopic steering wheel which is great.

My personal choice would be a 2nd gen sport model with the leather heated seats, are these seats pretty comfortable or are the standard cloth seats considered more comfortable?
