Please tell me what this was.

I'm pretty sure it was an episode type of animation and maybe it's an anime. It started off with the seeing the ocean and I think they were koi fishes, or a type of orange fish and someone caught one of the fishes that was talking to themselves at the start of the episode. The boy fishes up many fishes and was chopping up carrots. Then the fish transformed into a girl and you could tell the boy could transform into a cat because of its cat ears and tail. He asked the girl to transform back so he can eat fish because of course he's a cat. And she doesn't want to be eaten and the boy mentioned how he can't eat something that has a name because the girl wanted to introduce herself and she said her name so he doesn't eat her and so he allowed her to stay alive and then the last thing I remember was her naming the carrots "carrot number one, carrot number three, carrot number four.. " and so on. I remember seeing this on YouTube.

It was a 2D animation. I can't remember how long it was but I'm assuming it was around 20 minutes and I think the boy did wear traditional Japanese clothes and I can't remember the fishes hair but I think they boys hair was either black or white. The fish girl looked normal and they looked like teens. It was in an isolated, coastal area, he did live in a small house alone, until the girl came, it was in english and I'm pretty sure it was around 2020-2022 when I saw it. itsFully dubbed english
