What I learned about Karma

:Helpful: Advice

For a lot of us, the concept of Karma and how to attain it is simply confusing and discouraging. Some subreddits allow you to comment or post without restrictions, yet other subs remove your posts and comments outright seemingly no matter what, That’s why I am going to share the few things that are hopefully helpful to some of you if you are looking to gain Karma. Or feel free to comment your own thoughts and feedback. I highly recommend reading through the FAQs for this subreddit if you haven’t already. As my advice is not an exhaustive list.

  1. Be committed to using reddit regularly. Part of the reason Karma exists is to prevent low quality content, bots and spammers. Take your time with reddit, and know that earning Karma is a process.

  2. Your first 100 karma will likely be obtained from comments that you’ve made. Put effort and authenticity into your comments.

  3. Sort by new/ rising. Engaging with post that don’t have many comment will allow you to share your thoughts before the comment section becomes too saturated.

  4. Be aware of restrictions on new accounts and always read each subreddit’s community info before engaging. New accounts on reddit are often not allowed to comment or post on many subreddits.

  5. Have fun, I hope some of these tips may be helpful to you, what are your current struggles or epiphanies with karma?
