My profile isn't showing up to other people on Tinder

I've had Tinder for a few months, and I've never matched with someone that liked me first but I've had 4 matches or so in total.

I've had a hunch that my profile wasn't being shown to other people for a while, and I've tried deleting my account and remaking it a few times before, but yesterday I decided to my put my theory to the test and asked a friend of mine to set up a false profile that I could match with, same interests and such, with a fake name and some pictures of my cats, no faces. Not only did she not see my profile after running out of them, but she got more than 99 likes in a single day. She even saw another friend of mine that gets matches on a daily basis.

I sent a complaint to Tinder support and they essentially told me to shove it. What the hell am I doing wrong?
