6 year break up
I'm not going to write a lot because, honestly, I do not have the motivation or drive to do much of anything at all. My ex partner (32m) and I (28m) just broke up after living together for 6 years. I moved to TN in 2020 and sacrificed all of my friends and family to be with him. He broke up with me because of his religion and the fear he has of being punished for his sexuality. It's something he's struggled with since the very beginning, but he always told me that he believed God has enough grace to grant him eternal life. Outside of that, we were perfect. He's the only gay man that fully shared the same beliefs and principles as me. He is the love of my life and no one will ever be able to take his place. I moved back home to Florida because I have no one else in Tennessee and he blocked me on everything after writing a text that said that he couldn't be friends with me because it would hurt to much and that hes going to live a life of celibacy. God I miss him. I can't sleep. I can't eat. I can't listen to music or watch Netflix without thinking of him. I can't go on social media and see anything even remotely related to a memory I have with him. I can't live my life. I've never understood why people claim to lose the will to live after a break up until now. I feel so empty and alone. Nothing comforts me or makes me feel better. I can't imagine my future without him. He was my future. He was my life. I'm not sure why I'm sharing this. I think I'm just desperate for any support at all. I feel so alone in this. I gave him everything and lost everything in the process. I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this. I figured this would be the best place to post for lack of judgment.
