[Spoilers Main] What was your first reaction when you found out what happened to Davos in AFFC?

I'm referring of course to his fake execution from Wyman Manderly to trick the Lannisters and the Freys

To know what really happened we had to wait the next book, ADWD but the first time it was mentioned was in a Cersei's chapter, I believe, in AFFC

I was shocked to find out my precious Davos was killed "off screen" and tbh kinda pissed off that the book ended without giving any details

What was your reaction? Did you smelled something fishy since day one? What were your theories on what happened? Did you guessed lord Manderly was playing the long game?
