GP Rating completed from NUSI Goa but no placement – what are the best ways to get a job?

My brother completed his GP Rating course from NUSI Goa, but unfortunately he didn't get placed through campus recruitment.

He has all the required documents and is eager to start his first sailing job. We're looking for advice from people in the merchant navy or anyone who has gone through a similar situation.

What are the best ways to get a GP Rating job without campus placement?

• Are there any websites or WhatsApp/Telegram groups that regularly post vacancies?
• Is it realistic to get a first sailing job by applying directly to companies?
