Is a hair cut necessary?

Hey everyone, I’m a student joining my university’s afrotc program as a 250, and I have a onboarding/ new cadet training camp at my school later in August, is it recommended to have my hair cut short/to proper standards or are we not yet obligated by grooming standards, thank you
