How do you restrain a great dane?

This is a rethorical question. I love great danes and all the danes I've met are wonderful dogs, and I'd like to own one in a few years.

The problem is, I'm a 115 lbs/52 kg woman, so even if I get a female she'll be at least my size. If I end up getting one it'll be throught a reputable and ethical breeder to maximize the chance of a good base character, but as you know, nothing can be 100% certain.

For those of you that own reactive danes that are bigger than you, how do you do it?
