How do you manage to get enough calories in if you eat all this protein?
So my doctor told me to aim for roughly 100 g of protein daily. While I’m trying, I rarely get quite that much because I get too full and start to get nauseated.
For example, this morning I ate a protein bar (20 g) and about 2 oz air fryer chicken breast (17 g). Thats 170 calories in the protein bar + 84 in the chicken, so 37 G protein and 254 calories.
Now I’m stuffed. Most days I get in about 800 calories. I’m not hungry and if I am, I grab a string cheese or a handful of edamame and I’m good. I suspect the fact that I’m getting in so much protein makes me full and doesn’t leave room for much else.
I was thinking of asking to go from 7.5 back to 5, but I felt no appetite reduction at 5 and still had a lot of food noise. I still have food noise. But then I eat and get too full quickly.
I feel like I’m doing something wrong but I don’t know what.
