Interesting ride last night

I reserved in advance a ride a female driver, as my flight was arriving at 9:30 pm. I was out of cell reception, and didn’t realize a man had picked up the drive until he was on his way. No biggie.

My driver arrived about ten minutes early and my plane was taking a bit to unload. I messaged my driver as we were walking off the plane to let him know. No response.
I made it to his car within the given time frame.
The driver never acknowledged me.
Didn’t help me get my luggage in his very nice car.

We get onto the freeway and I notice he’s holding his cell in his right hand and his left was not on the steering wheel. I’m pretty sure I saw him nod off more than once.

I always add on an additional tip once the ride is over… unsure what to do in this case.

Lyft drivers, what are the rules about having the car in auto drive?

It was simply the oddest ride I’ve ever had.
