Falling into the abyss has become a joke?

Game Feedback

The general issue, with a great a great example, is that falling into the abyss is no longer fatal.
I understand that people has differing skill levels but honestly, this one was too pathetic.. Now the Tunnels are completely void of terror. (Did they also remove random doggos?)

The whole point of this game was to be merciless to your loot, gear and weapons. That is a stated core concept. Without the tension of loss this game just feels like an unfinished shooting gallery. Who cares about AI- acting more or less real if all you commit is just a recovery drone?

My initial 100hrs of the game was tense and not to seldom, fatal. That is why I got hooked into the game. To get better and be able to avoid sloppy deaths but also to feel legitimately scared in a world that earns it's inflicting terror. I think 5% in total were to bugs which were naturally annoying but it was worth it.
Now, the rest of my game time in the game has seen more lovey maps and stronger logic in the code and what not but the tension has been reduced successively into almost nothing. I'm not even scare of the dogs anymore. Simply because dying isn't painful in the slightest. Then what is the point?

I miss it when they kept to the vision more.

(Side note: I'm still fully against total water thief wipes on inventory and innards and all that bull sh*t.)
