First time at Grand Teton

Hi all! My husband and I are visiting Grand Teton for the first time. We fly into SLC the evening of July 31 and fly out August 4 around 5pm, so we’re effectively in the park Aug 1–3. We’ll have a rental car, and we’re moderately fit but not big hikers. We haven’t booked any tours yet, so we’re flexible on all of it.

Jul 31 – Land SLC, drive north, overnight partway.

Aug 1 – Drive up through Snake River Canyon. Afternoon horseback ride with Swift Creek, then Oxbow Bend and Signal Mountain for sunset.

Aug 2 – Sunrise wildlife tour. Afternoon at Jenny Lake (boat shuttle + Hidden Falls/Inspiration Point) and String Lake.

Aug 3 – Schwabacher Landing at sunrise, Mormon Row, then whitewater rafting midday before driving back toward SLC.

Specific questions:
1. Is the sunrise wildlife tour worth it, or can we get most of the value driving Moose-Wilson / Antelope Flats ourselves at dawn?
2. Jenny Lake in the afternoon — is parking hopeless by 1pm in early August, or is it manageable?

Thank you!
