Younger people who have lived in NYC and Chicago - what do you think is best for me?

I graduated this Spring (23M) and have been looking for jobs. I managed to get two offers in two of my dream cities - Chicago and NYC.

The one in Chicago pays well and was kinda hard to get and would allow me to live in a nice studio or 1 bed off a train line easily. The one in NYC pays less - not a whole lot less but enough to seriously make me worry about hit my prefered savings goals, which I value above all else. It also has a worse commute than the Chicago job which also sucks.

Now I love both of these cities, but I genuinely love NYC with all my heart. I lived there for 6 months for an internship last year and made the most out of all the time I spent there. Saw all boroughs, partied hard, meet new people, honestly grew a lot as a person in those 6 months. It was like a drug. I've visited, not lived in, Chicago and I love it for the same reasons as NYC (minus nightlife since I didn't explore it that much) but the reality for me is that NYC just has soooo much more and def has an energy to it like people say

Here are some specific things I loved about NYC that I don't think other cities can match:

- Diversity. You can find people from everywhere, anywhere even within the ethnic enclaves of the city

- Late-night activities/people-watching. Loved being able to leave my apartment at 11pm and just sit in a park and feel safe and depending on the location be able to see other people doing something at night. I used to walk around the LES sober and just people-watch some weekends if I didn't feel like drinking

- Black (and POC) queer scene. In Manhattan and Brooklyn (where I hung out most) you could find dozens of queer events and see so many visibly POC queer people out and about and it felt amazing. It felt nice to not have to go to a specific neighborhood to see queer people.

- House/techno nightlife and quality of DJs. NYC got me into house and techno. I loved how some places on a good night were just packed and full of energy and people. So varied and so many different places to go. So many DJs were amazing and spinning shit i've never heard before, I feel like most play the same things or arent that good. Also the queer house/techno nightlife is unparalled

- Everyone is just so so cool. Even the people I met who had a regular office job in NYC were doing cool shit on the side. Meet some DJs, programmers, artists, etc. and because NYC is the center of culture, they just happened to have so much more access to other cool/high-profile events and people in a way that I don't think other cities can match. Also everyone just looks cool, even the copy-paste people in some gentrified parts of the city. This may be the biggest thing that I miss

- Fashion. NYC just has more fashionable (and hot) people per square mile. I liked to get inspired and it also helps me always look good when I step outside

Looking for advice from the younger cosmopolitans and party people (lol). If you were in this situation, would would you chose? Does Chicago live up to some of the reasons I love NYC so much? Well aware that I am speaking on Chicago from a very narrow and misinformed POV - please inform me!!!
