Can someone help me understand the real value of this Dutch salary offer?
Hi everyone,
I am moving to the Netherlands (Eindhoven) from another European country because of a job opportunity, and I would like to understand how good this offer actually is compared to the local standards.
The offer details:
Gross monthly salary: €3,300
CAO: Metalektro
Salary scale: D5
Contract: 40 hours/week
ADV allowance: 5.26% paid monthly (€173.58 gross/month)
Holiday allowance: 8.33%
Travel compensation: €0.23 per km
Overtime is paid separately according to CAO percentages
Initially, my wife will not be working until she finds a suitable part-time job.
I would like to ask:
Is €3,300 gross/month + ADV allowance + holiday allowance considered a good offer under Metalektro CAO D5?
Approximately how much would the net monthly salary be?
Would this be considered a comfortable income for a couple living in the Netherlands?
I am relocating from abroad, so I would appreciate any advice from people familiar with Dutch salaries and the Metalektro CAO.
Thanks a lot!
