Just drink water, soda, anything wet daily, ffs.
Colorado climate. My 83 yo mother lives alone & self sufficient, drives etc. But we were at the ER last night for another episode of: Dehydration, get dizzy, pass out, fall.
I’m relieved that she is ok. I left the ER after 5 hours (midnight), because she was still shaky, they thankfully 🙏, admitted her.
But today I am trying to do my job and trying to plan my work week - I drive around a lot. But I cannot because they may release her, might want her to go to rehab - which she doesn’t want. But no one knows. Wait and see. I cannot be with her 24 hrs or I could but it will take some serious sacrifice & scrambling. So I’m really just overwhelmed and I’m so mad that this was, in possibly all aspects, preventable.
My son and I are supposed to take vacation this upcoming Saturday. In all likelihood she will be fine by then but it’s just very stressful, wrapping work up for the week & now managing whatever comes of her situation.
