A easy to read horror book based on monsters

I love reading thriller and fantasy books but I've recently been wanting to read a horror book based on monsters like the movie "Scary stories to tell in the dark".

I like to read stephen kings books and frieda mcfadden but I would love something more in frieda mcfadden's style. Although her endings are pretty predictable and repetitive they are just super easy to read and fast paced which I love.
