Unrequited love or just postponed love?

Hi all, I enjoy lurking this page and reading everyone's comments and also responding here and there myself, thanks everyone for the assistance :)

I wanted to have anyones feedback on this synastry chart? It is of me (inner circle) and the guy I am interested in (outer circle). We matched on hinge back in 2019 a few times but things never lifted. Then our friendship circles started merging and I ended up meeting him the following year at the end of 2020 (I was in a relationship then - that relationship ended the following year).

We are both apart of the same creative circle in our city. We have a good friendship but dont hangout one on one. Everytime I engage with him we will have hour long DnM's about our lives, mental health struggles, authenticity, creativity etc. It feels intense in a safe way, I do feel a spark with him. I feel close to him but have noticed more of this feeling going into the non platonic/romantic sphere when he became single.

Nothing has happened between us yet. I asked him out and he softly rejected me as he experienced a significant grief event last year and is prioritising his mental health which I completely understand.

I am wondering with time if he will return my affections, I understand if thats not possible and happy with a friendship. And then if thats the case if we can build something. I do like the idea of friendships to lovers.

I did notice his Neptune (Capricorn) may be squaring my venus (Leo) so I am worried about possible deception? I have experienced that before. I have been single for half a decade healing from that last partnership but I have been ready to romantically date from 2024 onwards.

I am also worried about his Sun/mercury (Scorpio) may be my Leo Sun/Mercury/Venus. It makes me curious as I feel like we communicate very well with eachother, it feels like we can psychically communicate at times?

I am also worried about Saturn being in the first house of our composite.

I have pasted our synastry (im the inner circle) and composite: https://imgur.com/a/hwzrqMh

Thank you and best wishes :)
