EVAP

My ford escape 2020 is getting a P0496 and P0456 code.

Apparently this is a purge valve? I went ahead and ordered one online.

I am a little confused as to if I did the right thing. The part cost me $40 and watching videos on YouTube it looks like a 10 minute job. But the Ford dealership where I live estimated me $690 to do this job.

The car will have trouble starting after I get gas. That’s my problem. Sometimes die shortly after. But good all other times, only after getting gas it does this.
