TCS NQT Coding Doubt (Python)

I have a doubt regarding the coding round. For questions like finding the minimum/maximum element in an array, second largest, etc., is it okay to use Python built-in functions like sort(), min(), max(), sum(), etc., if they pass all the test cases?

Or does TCS expect us to write the optimal algorithm manually (like traversing the array instead of sorting)?

I'm asking specifically about the actual TCS NQT coding round, not interviews. I'd appreciate advice from people who have written the exam recently.
