If you get a lumbar puncture for meningitis, can you ask them to look at your orexin levels while they're at it

I got an infected cuticle last week, it felt like I dropped a huge weight on my finger and it was throbbing so bad I couldn't sleep, but it went away. Now I have the worst headache and neck pain of my entire life. It feels like 70,000 hangovers thought my neck was a croket ball. It had been building up for a few days, but I thought it was just too much caffeine and sodium. Now I'm scared I have meningitis. I do feel a little more stupid and irritable, definitely did not want to look at lights yesterday, and small sounds just irked me in an unusual way.
My sleep doctor says I have narcolepsy with cataplexy, but I need to schedule a 3rd sleep study to get my meds again, bc they gave me meds until my 2nd study, and the results were skewed by a minute because of my anxiety meds/nicotine usage apparently. So they're like "sorry, there's no way you don't have it, but the insurance criteria says you can't get your meds back until you get a 3rd study."
If worse comes to worse and I end up in the hospital needing a lumbar puncture anyway, can I just be like "ayy test my orexin levels too" so I can skip the hassle of scheduling a 3rd study, and having to take time off work to avoid letting my boss see me doing nicotine/anxiety med withdrawal?
