Passed First Try Using STC - DT & KF on YT
I passed the SIE first try using STC (at 3:15am remotely because I can't read properly) in Feb, and began studying after getting a new job June 1st. I studied for about 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for roughly one month. I followed the 4-week calendar loosely.
STC practice scores were:
Exam 1 - 65%
Exam 2 - 66%
Exam 3 - 73%
Exam 4 - 72%
Exam 5 - 69%
Exam 6 - 76%
Exam 8 - 72%
Green Light 1 - 77%
Green Light 2 - 80%
I also took Ken's Brutal Exam and got a 75% about 4 or 5 days before I sat for the S7.
I can't remember too much about my draw but would highly recommend reviewing open-end funds, customer accounts, suitability, general options (finding good mnemonics for straddles/spreads). STC I've noticed can be overly wordy and really try to trip you up, which to some is a good thing but always try to get different perspectives. The infamous 1.5 hour video from that one YouTube guy watching the night before and morning of the test helped organize my thoughts good too.
As far as sitting for the exam, it was really hard to get comfortable in "in-the-flow" until about 15 questions in. I don't recommending changing many of your answers, but I went back through the first 15 or 20 questions just to make sure my brain was working properly. Took about 3 hours and 20 minutes.
