Meeting with General Surgeon Tomorrow
Im a 29m, only history of medical issues were calcium kidney stones. Urologist determined it was due to a calcium deficiency as a kid due to dairy allergy. I have passed over a dozen in the last 10 years so I am very used to pain.
TLDR - last 4 months have been miserable, have some gallbladder symptoms, but most symptoms are abnormal.
Tests & Results (scans are of abdomen) -
HIDA - 14% EF (experienced strong aching pain 1-2 hours after I got home).
Gastric Emptying - normal
Ultrasound - normal (no stones, no sludge, GB wall 0.3cm).
CT w/ Constrast - normal
MRI w/ and w/o contrast - normal
H Pylori - negative
SIBO - should get results end of this week.
Blood work - normal other than B12 being lower end of normal in blood work from September 2025. I did more last week still waiting on results.
I also saw cardiology-
Echo, EKG, Stress test, 48hr holter - all normal
My symptoms -
Vasovagal pre syncope (never happened in my life before these last 4 months and has happened 3 times).
Constantly feel like I am in fight or flight while I am awake.
Panic attacks.
Dizziness.
RUQ pain but also intermittent pain that goes down almost to my hip.
Insane burping after anything including drinking water.
Constipation.
Floating stool.
Acid Reflux (I have woken up choking many times, I just don’t eat 5 hours before bed now and don’t experience it).
Resting heart rate is in the 40s and low 50s (apple watch data from a year ago never showed my HR going below 60 while awake). It gets into the 30s at night sometimes. I am not physically active enough for this to make sense. I play soccer 1x a week sometimes for about an hour.
I believe this really all started in Sept of 2025, I went to a doctor for the first time in 10 years because I wasn’t feeling good after eating. I would feel fatigue and dizziness. Sometimes a little nauseous, but never really threw up.
I have done so much reaearch and I don’t see any stories of people experiencing this with gallbladder. Its usually super black and white. For example, you have bad pain, get an ultrasound and find stones/sludge. Get gallbladder out and you are better.
Only thing I can find is what AI tells me where it says the vagus nerve is closely tied to the gallbladder.
I meet with a surgeon tomorrow morning, I’m hoping he provides some clarity, but I’m thinking he will tell me that removing the GB can help with RUQ pain but everything else who knows.
Overwhelmingly my symptoms that are ruining my life are the non RUQ pain symptoms.
