Balancing classes and fws as a new sophomore transfer?

General

Hey everyone, I’m joining GWU this upcoming semester as a sophomore transfer student. Right now, I’m registered for 13 credits but I’m planning on bumping it up to 16. (IA major) I’m also looking into doing a FWS job on campus.

Since it's my first semester here, I'm a bit worried about burning out. Has anyone else done classes and a job during their first semester/freshman year here? How manageable is the workload, and are there certain types of FWS jobs (like library or desk shifts) that are better for getting homework done? Appreciate any advice or tips!
