Does this happen to other butches?

Do you ever feel that as a butch you still want to be told you're pretty, beautiful etc but it never happens?

Dating over the years I have paid many compliments. I love to praise and let a woman know verbally just how pretty she is, how smart, how wonderful.

But I never hear it back. I put time into my appearance and hygiene. I dress nicely and smell good on a date.

But i never hear it. Maybe not all butches want to be called pretty. I certainly do. I want to know I'm wanted but I have yet to hear it back.

Is it a butch thing?
