BPS Trying to Raise Fees?!

PSA for anyone board certified through BPS:

Check your email for the new BPS survey. Buried in the survey is a section noting that certification fees haven't increased in ~30 years, followed by questions asking whether you'd be willing to pay higher fees due to inflation. This comes right after questions about the perceived value of board certification LOL.

I know board certification is a polarizing topic. Some people think it's worth it, others think it's become a cash grab. Regardless of where you fall, many pharmacists are required to maintain BPS certification for employment, credentialing, promotions, or residency program requirements.

If you have strong feelings about increasing fees, please complete the survey. Surveys like this can be used to justify future decisions, so it's important that pharmacists actually provide feedback rather than ignore the email.

If you don't support higher fees, make that clear in your responses and explain why. The more constructive feedback they receive, the better.
